Plat ("we", "us") is owned and operated in Ontario, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions, requests, or complaints can be sent to the contact above. You may also contact the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (privacy.gc.ca).
Any information about an identifiable individual, such as name, email address, phone number, precise location, payment details, device identifiers, IP address, and usage data. De-identified or aggregated statistics that cannot reasonably identify you are not personal information.
We collect only what we need for the purposes below, and we obtain meaningful consent where required:
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only:
Some service providers may store or process data outside Canada (e.g., the United States). Where this happens, your information may be subject to foreign laws. We use contractual safeguards; a list of countries and providers is available on request.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g., financial records under the Income Tax Act). When no longer needed, we delete or irreversibly de-identify it. See our retention schedule summary: account data — deleted within 30 days of closure; logs — 90; backups — purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.
You may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, withdrawal of consent, and a portable copy in a structured, machine-readable format. Requests are processed free of charge within 30 days; we may ask for proof of identity. Contact us at the address above. You may uninstall the app and revoke device permissions at any time through your device settings.
We use measures proportionate to sensitivity, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, least-privilege access controls, MFA for staff, and regular vulnerability reviews. No method is perfect, but we review and update our safeguards regularly.
If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will report it to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, notify affected users, and keep a breach record as PIPEDA requires.
Our service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information; if we learn we have, we delete it. Parents may contact us to request removal.
AI is used to score images automatically for explicit and/or harmful content as they're uploaded to our server by users. This feature is used exclusively to prevent the displaying harmful or violent images to those who have not consented to seeing harmful or violent imagery. Images deemed possibly harmful are rejected and will not be made posted for other users to see.
This policy does not cover third-party websites or services. Our app includes these SDKs/services: Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Google AdMob, and Stripe — see their policies for details.
We will post changes here with an updated "last modified" date and, for material changes, provide notice in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, including PIPEDA. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca
